Family

We are heading south today with little direction in mind.  On our way to Klamath Falls, Oregon, we will take pictures of Mount Rainier and see how close we decide to see it.

Yesterday was an awesome day with family.  Woodinville, WA is a wine-tasting paradise.  Many of the wineries have tasting rooms in a fairly small radius so that you can wander through the stores and stop for sips along the way.  The weather again was stunning.  (Does it really rain in Seattle?  Except for overnight showers, we have had nothing by sun and beautiful clear air on both of our long visits to Seattle.  I think that the "rainy" reputation is just a myth to keep down the tourists and transplants.)

We had brunch out and then a beautiful lasagna dinner at the Denton's lovely home on Lake Sammamish.  The day was easy and fun.  Susan and I bonded immediately and look forward to our next contact.  Alan and Dan are both quiet UNTIL they start talking and maybe get a drink in them.  Then, we have to jump in the conversation to get heard.  Susan instantly appreciated Alan's sassy wit and gave him as good as she got.  Great fun, all day.

I will let the pictures tell the story.  The full group for the wine tours (although beautiful and smart Alex, Patrick's twin, and her husband, Eric, also wicked smart, came to dinner, but missed the photo sessions).

The Dentons with Luke, whom they seem to adore and include in their family totally.  Luke has Susan wrapped around his little finger (as does Patrick, I think).  Thx, Susan for the Tarimisu, Luke's favorite dessert.  :-)

Two handsome guys.  Alan needs a haircut.

The best wine we enjoyed was at Chateau Ste. Michele.  Patrick bought us the Artists Series of Reserve tastings.  Putting some on my list (and saving money to pay for them).

The handsome couple.  Wedding plans still incomplete.

Dan and Alan talking on the Denton's deck into the sunset.

Patrick had to leave the dinner table to catch the beautiful sunset.

With a little encouragement, Susan went to take this designer photo.  Great photographers all.

Thanks, Denton's, Luke and Patrick for the hospitality and the genuine show of love.  Can't wait to reciprocate on your visits to Virginia.  Hugs.
